EVO 2009 Beta Presentation

Beta Evo 2009 Trial

When conceiving the Evo, Beta’s technicians have stayed true to their corporate principles. A Beta wouldn’t be a Beta without an aluminum single-beam chassis. And there it is again. This time it’s noticeably narrower and slimmer, although it still houses the fuel tank.

Its central part branches elegantly to receive the straps that support the footrests; Throughout it we can see several inserts in order to reduce the weight of the frame as much as possible.

The front seatstays, which open from the main line to hug the radiator, also feature these inserts. A ten in quality, originality and finishes.

Another great obsession for Beta engineers was to achieve an optimal center of gravity. One of the points that has been worked on the most is the design of the rear damping system; The most important decision has been to reincorporate linkages. The fork, developed by Beta in cooperation with Paioli, is also new.

They declare a weight reduction compared to their predecessor of 600 grams, which added to another 150 grams saved by the new steering plates, manages to significantly improve the agility of the set.

Mechanically, the 250 version is maintained, while in the upper version the displacement of the engine has grown from 270 to 290 in order to gain more torque and power at all speeds. The very stylized exhaust system is completely new. Work has also been done internally to reduce oscillating weights and better contain vibrations. The cylinder head is also new, now detachable in two pieces.

The Beta EVO is offered in both 2-stroke and 4-stroke versions.
