Gas Gas takes a step forward in its quest for perfection and balance with the launch of the new Gas Gas TXT Racing. A new and evolved generation of trial motorcycles that offer greater balance, traction and control thanks to the incorporation of new components and new settings. Details of the highest quality that perhaps go unnoticed at first glance, but not to the touch of the most demanding riders to continue being the first choice for great trial lovers.
NEW OHLINS SHOCK ABSORBER
A large part of the improvements in the new TXT Racing series are aimed at improving stability and balance, such as the front fork suspension system, which on this occasion, already as standard, brings the same settings as its racing sisters.
Gas Gas’ R+D department has worked specifically on the rear axle, which in these models, ensures perfect traction thanks to the new Öhlins monoshock in combination with the Regina signature chain assembly and a fine adjustment of the forces caused by the pull of the same, a safety when facing large obstacles and steps.
IN SEARCH OF MORE LOWS
The new TXTs inherit the spirit and Racing surname of their predecessors and incorporate specific innovations in the engine section. In this way, the 2018 models mount a double-spark CDI Hydria that fills its response in the bass. The thermodynamics of the cylinder have also been improved thanks to the new interchangeable cylinder heads, which allow the compression to be modified and thus achieve an equally powerful delivery, although finer and more progressive, capable of being adjusted in certain circumstances, such as at high altitudes, where the performance of the engines usually decreases due to the lack of oxygen in combustion.
In the engine block, the eight-segment stainless steel exhaust curve and the new 3-position variable preload clutch also stand out, an element that helps to improve both delivery and feel, whose response, more or less radical, can be adapted to the taste of each driver. Not to mention that it will also help extend the life of the clutch.
Models that continue to rely on lightweight black aluminium wheels and prestigious Michelin tyres to maintain their excellent grip on all types of surfaces, and which also includes the usual ‘man overboard’ safety systems and rear crown according to FIM regulations. All of these novelties are added to a new livery that keeps the TXT Racing 125/250/280/300 among the most attractive models in the trial with which to defy the laws of gravity.
