EVO 2015 Beta Presentation

Beta has been the latest brand to present its new 2015 Trial range. In general terms, it inherits the mechanical improvements that have been introduced a few months ago in the EVO Factory 2014 Beta. Beta remains the only brand that markets its high-end Trial in both 2T and 4T engines. Below we reproduce in full the statement issued by Beta in relation to the new features of the new 2015 range.

WHAT’S NEW IN BETA EVO 2015

The new Beta EVO 2T 2015 is equipped with a fully revved and lighter rear mono-shock. Flow fluidity and reactivity have been significantly improved thanks to the new low-friction gas/oil separator and the new internal body finish. The oil tank, coaxial to the gas tank, has a larger capacity and guarantees excellent advantages in terms of stability and resistance to high operating temperatures. In addition, the new shock absorber is equipped with a gas filling valve that facilitates the maintenance of the internal elements. Beta EVO 2015 4T The 38mm Sachs fork, with the new white covers, features some improvements inherited from the 2014 Factory model and benefits not only from the shortening of the tubes (-5.5mm), which favours weight reduction, progressivity and a more aggressive riding position, but also from a lighter spring adjustment cap. A new, more ergonomic petrol tap has been implemented that facilitates access to the knob and allows the arrangement of the petrol pipes to be shortened and improved. The EVO 250 2T and 300 2T have been fitted with the new 12-pole ignition, which features several new features. Thanks to the inverted mounting of the steering wheel, the centralization of the rotating masses improves the agility of the vehicle. The new 12-pole system allows for more electrical power and thus increases the efficiency of the electric fan, which can dissipate a greater amount of heat. The new ignition scheme is completed by a magnesium alloy flywheel cover with stator support function, coupled to the crankcase by a special sealing gasket that seals the flywheel chamber. Beta EVO 2015 The EVO 250 2T and 300 2T feature more new exhaust features, which adopts a new, longer steel manifold and a new elongated muffler at the end. This new configuration ensures higher torque at low revs without sacrificing high performance, as well as noise reduction, with a “fuller” ringer. The EVO 250 2T unifies the entire block with that of the EVO 300 2T, adopting the same crankshaft with a larger diameter in the brackets (Ø116.5mm) and in the coupling shaft (Ø30mm), the same crankcases with larger crank chamber and optimized thicknesses, the same primary transmission with quick-shift ratios, The same water pump gearing and the same end ratios (pinion-crown) to restore the correct overall gear ratio. This allows you to benefit from a lighter engine at parity of inertia, a clutch that is better able to withstand the transfer of torque to the gearbox and a higher flow water circuit. A substantial modification of the engine cylinder head has been extended to the entire EVO 2T range, which facilitates the filling and purging operations of the cooling circuit. The EVO 2015 range also offers the 250 4T and 300 4T versions, which do not adopt technical modifications with respect to the already valid and affirmed version of the previous year, demonstrating a perfect balance of power and great handling. In terms of aesthetics, the white frame, derived from the appreciated colouring of the Factory 2014 model, and the new plastic and graphic series, which harmoniously combines red, black and white, perfectly aligning with the feel of the 2015 Beta family introduced with the RR Enduro range, stand out. For young trialists, the EVO 80 Senior with 21” front wheel (11 – 16 years) and the EVO 80 Junior with 19” front wheel (9 – 11 years) are available. Both with the highest quality mechanics and a captivating graphic look, just like the big sisters in the EVO range.
