Beta EVO 2017 Trial

Beta presents its new EVO 2017 Trial range, a model that maintains the essence of its predecessors, but incorporates improvements that affect both its mechanics and the chassis part. Beta continues to market the EVO model with 125, 250 and 300cc engines. As a novelty for this year 2017, the family grows and receives a new model: the Beta EVO 300 SS 2017 – acronym for Super Suave –, a less aggressive and sweetened version more designed for amateur and veteran riders. The main difference lies in a smoother power delivery. Below are the changes it receives to achieve this premise.

What’s new in the 2017 Beta Evo 2-stroke engine

  • New crankshaft bearings: significantly reduce friction between the crankshaft and the oil seal. • New ignition coil: the higher energy available brings benefits in terms of carburetion stability, engine response making it more precise and therefore easier to control the bike. • New control unit (CDI): modifying the hardware with a dual spark system also improves the stability of the carburetion. This significantly reduces the cyclic irregularity typical of two-stroke engines in fuel delivery, generating a more linear, full and at the same time sweet power delivery at low revs. Beta Evo 300 2017 • New current regulator: improves the electrical performance of the system by increasing the power available to the electric fan at low rpm. The cooling capacity is also increased and consequently the performance of the bike is more stable. • Ignition Advance Curve Optimization: To further improve engine power delivery. • New spark plug with central iridium electrode for overall performance improvement.

What’s New Beta EVO 125 2017 2-stroke

• New generator (stator): the quarter liter also benefits from the 12-pin generator with specific inertia. This allows for more electrical power available for the ignition and lighting systems, improved engine response in all rev ranges, higher fan efficiency at low revs, balance optimization thanks to mass centering and better cooling capacity. • New crankshaft: with the stroke increased from 54 mm to 54.5 mm, which means an increase in displacement. • New low-friction crankshaft bearings: allow the engine to run more freely and increase responsiveness. • New silencer: the internal components have been completely revised, reducing the number of perforations from 3 to 5, which guarantees a significant increase in performance and response accuracy, as well as a reduction in exhaust noise.

What’s New Beta EVO 250 2017 2-stroke

• New exhaust and intake transfers: the new position of the cylinder transfers allows for better engine operation throughout the power range. • New combustion chamber: modified the belt and squish angle to make the engine more enjoyable and still maintain proper power delivery at all times. • Flywheel ignition with greater inertia, which makes the engine perform more rounded and pleasant, without penalizing overall performance. • New silencer: with an increase in the cylindrical section of sound-absorbing mesh and new fibers with a high noise reduction value. The engine is quieter, more pleasant to drive and easy to interpret by the rider thanks to the perfect sound progressiveness.

• New cylinder: revised sealing area to improve seal tightness and increase durability.

What’s New Beta EVO 300 2T SS (Super Soft)

The 2017 Beta EVO 300 SS aims for easier, smoother and more intuitive power delivery but with the same features as the standard 2017 Evo 300 model. The “SS” version acquires all the electronic and mechanical upgrades of the Evo 300 but differs in the following components: • New silencer: with an increase in the cylindrical section of sound-absorbing mesh and new fibers with a high noise reduction value. The engine is quieter, more pleasant to drive and easy to interpret by the rider thanks to the perfect sound progressiveness. • New combustion chamber: with a lower compression ratio and designed for less competitive use. It enables a precise and super-smooth engine response at any speed, even at the lowest rpm rpm. The engine is more precise, manageable and always under control. Beta Evo Super Soft 2017 • Flywheel ignition with greater inertia, which makes the engine perform more rounded and pleasant, without penalizing overall performance. • Primary transmission with the added inertia: Together with the flywheel, it allows for an easy-to-use engine for any type of rider as it further smooths the engine’s power. • Long Stroke Throttle Knob: Providing a slow turn to eliminate sharp throttle bumps. This also helps to reduce the use of the clutch needed in the zones.

What’s new in the Beta EVO 2017 cycle

• Hydraulic suspension adjustments (fork and monoshock): updating the efficiency to make them now more sensitive and comfortable at the beginning of the travel, and with greater progressivity at the end, to ensure better absorption to important impacts or at high speed. • New design of the front fork bars: to reduce friction. • New license plate support kit: with integrated turn signals: allows greater practicality in off-road use, allowing trials to be practiced in full compliance with road traffic regulations. • New Rear Brake Master Cylinder: Provides a more powerful and progressive feel. • New plastic tank cover: which makes the bike look even more elegant and attractive. • New dual-map switch position: for ease of use and reduced damage in the event of an impact. • New headlight cover: with LED light and voltage regulator. • New graphics.
