Who we are at Trialworld

tw_480

Trialworld is much more an e-magazine dedicated exclusively to Trial. Its differentiating positioning, based on the excellence of the content, has propelled the name of Trialworld to become a reference for fans of the specialty of dynamic balance.

The e-magazine you have in front of you is the result of more than 15 years of experience in the sector and the unconditional passion for a sport that, despite not being attractive to the masses or sponsors, stands out for the quality and spirit of its loyal followers.

Since the foundation of Trialworld, on January 10, 2011, we have positioned ourselves as the only specialized magazine to carry out our own tests of all Trial models, both current and classic, as well as unpublished and exclusive reports on technique, physical preparation and current affairs.

We can’t forget the cornerstone of our brand: the Trial School. Through a Training Plan we are working to build fans, extending our hand to facilitate the arrival of new fans and guaranteeing optimal learning with professionals in the best conditions (insurance, environmental permits and the endorsement of the Federation).

STAFF TRIALWORLD

David Quer

Founding Partner – Director

I fell into the nets of this specialty by chance, at the age of 14. I started by taking the Montesa Cota 311 that my father had bought to follow my brother and me with our “fifties”. One day I bumped into Marcos and Luis, two amateurs who were training where I used to go. They invited me to train one day with them and I bit into the poisoned apple. The next thing was to sell the “fifty” and get a ’95 Gas Gas JT that I crushed alive. We lost count of the number of handlebars and fins we changed that year; a ruin.

From then on, my hobby became more and more ingrained. I was lucky enough to meet Gabriel Gomez through my friend Luis, who at that time was a Trial tester for Moto Verde. One day he offered me the chance to inherit his position at Moto Verde, as Quad & Jets proposed him a rather ambitious project. And I agreed. At the age of 21, in 2002, I became the Green Bike Trial Specialist and held that position until 2011, just a month before I told the director that I had a project in mind: “I want to create a trial magazine with everything that doesn’t have a place here.”

It didn’t make any more sense to stay on Moto Verde. Yes, I had tested all the production bikes from the 2002 to the 2011 range, and even the official bikes of Bou (Beta and Montesa), Raga, Fajardo (Beta), Fujinami and Lampkin. However, as happens in all generalist magazines, the Trial served to fill pages and offer an excuse for the trialists to go to the newsstand to pay their 3 euros for reading a page and a half article.

In my last four years I have also been collaborating with Motociclismo as a Trial correspondent in the World Championship and Spain. There I have been able to live intense moments that I will never forget, such as the very exciting race that proclaimed Bou Spanish Champion 2006, or the tension of Raga to withstand the challenge to the title by Fujinami at Spa Francorchamps (2006). During those long days I have spent a lot of time with great technicians, such as Paxau, Jordi Granell, Claudi Obrador, Sam or Dani del Valle; backpackers, such as Josep Banyeres, Didi Cercós, Ismael, Santi Navarro, Xavi Ibars, Lluis Gallach, Marín or Yanic; And of course the “top” or not so “top” pilots, with whom I have shared great experiences and reflections.

All this dragged on until the policy of cuts in Motorcycling arrived and it was the turn of Trial. Since 2009 no one has covered the races live, neither the National nor the World Championships.

I liked the panorama on the internet, but it didn’t fill me up. I missed the model tests, special reports like the ones we have done this year (trial vs enduro, 2T vs 4T, Montesa 4RT vs Honda TLR ’82, Sherco vs Bultaco Sherpa) and more.

So I contacted the invisibleart team, great experts in the online world and we created what is now Trialworld, under the premises of a clean, very graphic and intuitive site. What are we going to say… We couldn’t be happier with the result!

I must admit that I don’t just live the Trial, I also practice. In addition to being an instructor at the Trial School, I compete in different regional championships, especially in the Madrid TR2 Championship, as well as in tests of a special nature.
such as the Two Days of Arinsal.

I end this presentation by giving way to two great characters of trial that I deeply admire, without whom Trial today would not be what it is: Jordi Tarrés and Josep R. Paxau. De Tarrés would highlight his impeccable career, effort, dedication and willingness. Seven almost consecutive world titles are the best endorsement of an absolutely impeccable career. Paxau represents the other side of the same coin, where its tireless eagerness to learn, build, evolve and transmit continues to teach all fans lessons of all kinds, but above all of passion. Thank you both for trusting Trialworld!

A big hug to all.

Test Manager – Trialworld School Monitor

The beginnings and sporting career have been parallel to those of my brother, although younger. At the age of 14 I was already on a trial bike. Throughout these years, in addition to competing at a regional level in the top category, I have collaborated with Moto Verde in all the tests of Trial models that have been done since 2002.

My role was to provide feedback on the performance and feel of each of the models. This has allowed me to get to know them very well and even compete with several brands over the years, such as Scorpa, Gas Gas or Montesa.

In addition to working on the test models, I coordinate the Trial School at the same time, where the successes achieved in 2011 have given us an amazing moral and personal boost. We will continue working on creating fans and offering the best material to all lovers of this sport.
