Presentation of the Gas Gas Trial 2015 range

Gas Gas opts for minimalism in its new TXT Racing range for 2015. We take care of every last detail of the TXT 125/250/280/300 to go beyond perfection. The renovation comes from the base, with a new TXT 80 that will delight the little ones and a 125 cc whose engine has been redesigned to become the great reference in its segment, a bike capable of overcoming any obstacle. Gas Gas breathes trial at all ages. The secret lies in the constant desire to improve of a brand that celebrates its thirtieth anniversary.

TXT 125/250/280/300, minimalism in search of perfection

The minimalism in the gears translates into endless improvements in the entire TXT 125/250/280/300 range, quality products with high performance. In this way, the list starts with the hands and continues with the feet. New handlebars (grips, handlebars and protector) and new footpegs for a range that incorporates the advice and extensive experience of its riders, to promote body posture on the bike, improve grip and use the lightest and most resistant materials on the market.
The new Spal fan allows for more space in the cylinder head area, more ventilation and a more solitary attachment between the fan and the radiator. Three upgrades in one. As a result of the advances in this regard, the TXT Racing 2015 range incorporates a new electrical installation, with smaller connectors and less cable length, designed for easy maintenance. The ignition system, the service system and the magnetic plate are made independent thanks to their two new, completely sealed connectors located in the engine area. Closely related to the electrical part, the electrical components have been rearranged. In this way, the new bracket – which joins CDI, coil and regulator – optimises the space under the tank and simplifies the service installation – now with direct current – and implementing a single regulator.

The new range receives important changes in its chassis and mechanicsThe perfection lies in taking care of the details and the incorporation of the new kickstarter and the new water pump revolve around this idea. A new pedal, easy to disassemble and studied down to the smallest in terms of its travel, and a new water pump with a watertight system that completely eliminates any possibility of exchanging liquids with hardly any maintenance. The new intake nozzle for the Keihin carburetor simplifies assembly and, in turn, increases the performance of the benchmark engine in the world of trial.

Small Improvements with Big Projection

The list of upgrades goes on and on in the 2015 TXT Racing range. In this way, the new design of the ignition cover gives it a more modern look and at the same time unites the aesthetics of the trial and enduro ranges.
While the tapered allen bolts in the lower part of the crankcase protector facilitate the slippage of the bike, which is so important in some trial areas. The TXT Racing are designed for trial practice at all levels and also for easy maintenance by the user and, in our eagerness to improve, we have even modified the fixing of the exhaust curve to facilitate access to the screws that attach to the cylinder.

And one last improvement, although the speedometer is not one of the most used elements in trial, we wanted to reduce its size following the canons and philosophy of this specialty.
Gas Gas has made a special effort to renew its TXT 125. The brand’s teenager inherits the improvements of her older sisters. However, at Gas Gas we wanted to go further, checking his heart. And now, the engine, and especially its response, has nothing to envy to the rest of the saga.
The TXT 125 is undergoing a radical change and it is doing so from within. In its evolution, the new TXT 125 incorporates a new cylinder head, both inside and outside, adapted to the new thermodynamics of the cylinder, with a homogeneous look to the whole family. The new ignition system, the new CDI – a widely tested component – and the Kehin carburetor are added to the list of novelties of this 125, a bike with the torque and power that everyone expected to become the benchmark of its displacement.
The incorporation of a new crankshaft, specific for this displacement, has made it possible to adjust its environment and incorporate some improvements such as: crankcases that readjust the pre-compression, new primary sprocket, new clutch cover to house the water pump in the outermost part, which makes the TXT 125 the best choice of the eighth litre in the trial.

TXT 80, an outstanding student

The Gas Gas TXT 80 receives important improvements, including a new engineSometimes the great successes are based on the simplicity of its changes and this, without going any further, is the case of the TXT 80. Under the platform of the TXT Racing 125, with smaller front and rear axles – at the height of the benjamins – the new TXT 80 is a small bike, on the scale of the great champions. A totally new bike, born to become the benchmark in its segment.
Gas Gas has spared no resources for its benjamina. The new TXT 80 cc incorporates a new engine in its 2015 model, a direct inheritance of the professional trial engines that have won so many titles – national and world – for our brand, with three decades of success behind them. Among its most notable specific improvements are its primary transmission and specific thermodynamics with new cylinder, cylinder head, piston and exhaust curve. When we announced a great transformation, it was not in vain. The unification of the components of the chassis of the small TXT 80 with those of the adult range is completed by the chassis, the exhaust and silencer intermediate, the filter box and the tank.
Adapting the TXT 80 to young riders involves the incorporation of some specific components, including the swingarm (smaller), the front suspension (shorter and smaller in diameter), the tires (17″ and 19″) and the shock absorber (with a more sensitive spring), as well as footpegs that adjust perfectly to the position of the young rider.
