Ossa TRi 2014 Presentation

The 2014 TRi comes in four displacements: the well-known 125cc and 280cc are joined by the new 250cc and 300cc. In this way, the OSSA trial range offers options for all users and styles. The 125cc features an all-new cylinder developed by OSSA’s R+D department, which delivers more torque throughout the rev range, especially at low and medium revs.
The 250cc cylinder has been developed from the ground up by OSSA looking for the best compromise for easy and efficient riding, while the 2014 TR300i also features an all-new cylinder, with new thermodynamics that offers great power for the most experienced users.
For all displacements, cylinder heads have been revised and adjusted to improve engine efficiency, in combination with new injection maps that are precisely adapted to varying pressure, temperature or altitude conditions.

Ossa Engine 2014

The engine of the 2014 TRi receives a large number of improvements developed in competition by the OSSA Racing Team. The crankshaft now features a ball bearing that minimizes vibrations and reduces stresses on the transmission. The gearshift has been reinforced with an all-new shaft and pinion design to smoothly withstand even the most demanding styles of professional riders.

The new range receives improvements in several engine and chassis sectionsTo improve reliability and minimise wear, the crankcase has also been modified in order to accommodate more oil volume in the gearbox (450cc, 100cc more than in the 2013 bike). The clutch features a new spring and press configuration that ensures smooth operation and longer disc life, as well as better feel and smoother actuation.
A new electronically controlled capacitor has also been incorporated to make it extremely easy to start the motor, while the electrical installation has been redesigned for greater simplicity and reliability.

Chassis Improvements

The 2014 TRi range has a multitude of improvements in the chassis part. Newly designed Braktec clutch and brake pumps improve the feel and actuation of the controls. A new, harder chain tensioner spring ensures more constant chain tension, while the new linkage and rocker arm assembly with larger diameter axles ensures its strength even in the most extreme conditions. The steering seals have been replaced by more enveloping ones, which prevent moisture from entering the bearing housings.
On the other hand, the suspension settings have been revised based on racing experience, also highlighting the new Öhlins shock buffer.
