Crushing victory for Toni Bou in Valdemanco

The Madrid town of Valdemanco, an institution in the history of Trial, received the riders of the Spanish Championship to compete in the fifth scoring race for the TR1.
THE RACE ABOUT TO BE SUSPENDED
The initial context was one of concern, since on the same Friday the organization received a fax indicating that the environmental authorization was unfavorable, that is, that there had been no permission to carry out the race. The approval that was in force until Friday morning seemed to be of no use. This fact caused great concern and the test was about to not be held, but the astuteness and great work of MC Valdemanco meant that the only final setback was a delay in the time to go out to train on Saturday morning.
Different efforts by the members of the Motoclub managed to get the Ministry of Sports to classify the event as “of high sporting interest” on Saturday morning and the previous situation could be reversed.
In the end, the fact that the race was held was an achievement, but along the way there were constant restrictions of the route that, although they did not tarnish the spectacle, they miss the possibilities of a scenario with a great trial tradition where much more juice could have been obtained.

The route of 12 sections to be done in a single lap was difficult and very tight to complete in time, as the zones had many steps and the drivers had to hurry to avoid incurring penalties. However, what on Saturday seemed almost impossible areas, on Sunday began to go better than expected.
BOU WAS UNTREATABLE
Adam Raga I opened the race and I noticed it when driving without references in a race where he went from less to more, but without enough margin to improve certain mistakes and get closer to the records of the reference driver. Toni Bou, which was once again masterful and shone with its own light throughout the day. He was absolutely intractable on the complex Madrid course.
The surprise on the podium was Jaime
Busto
, who managed to sneak between his teammate and Adam Raga, signing a brilliant second position.

Tight results behind Raga, with Fajardo one point behind and then a fantastic
Miquel Gelabert
in fifth. Behind, also close,
Cabestany
, Noguera, Casales and Farre closing the TR1 classification.
The title is practically sealed in favour of Toni Bou, who has a 19-point advantage and if nothing changes, he will sign a new national championship under his belt on November 13 in Almeria.

DECLARATIONS

Adam Raga: “It was a difficult trial, I started first and during the first pass through the sections I accumulated too many mistakes, as well as another mistake that penalized me a lot where I went through a green gate. However, I’m happy with my riding and I’m already thinking about getting a good result in the next race.”
Toni Bou: “Today I rode another almost perfect trial. We started very well, being able to overcome difficult sections with some ease. I finished without too many mistakes and very few points. The victory is very important because it leaves the championship very well and just by finishing we will be champions. I’m very happy because we’ve worked all year to get results, and they’re coming.”
Jaime Busto: “I’m quite happy with the result. Yesterday I saw that I could do well and I came out with a lot of enthusiasm. In the areas I felt very good. Things were going well and I was encouraged. I liked the trial, it reminded me of the first trials I raced here and the truth is that this weekend I also had luck on my side and to be third in the championship is something very good with the last race to go.”
Miquel Gelabert:It was a very nice trial, in fact yesterday it seemed that it was going to be much more complicated than what finally turned out to be in the race. I was going very well until zone 11, where I made a very silly five, which made me a bit nervous and I made another mistake when stepping on a tape. However, I’m very happy with the feeling and the riding, so in Almeria I hope to reach the long-awaited podium in TR1.”
