What are the rules and scoring of the bike trial like?

WHAT IS BIKE TRIAL?

Bike trials are one of the most interesting and spectacular cycling disciplines. Unlike other cycling modalities, trial is a sport in which the main factor is stability and mastery of the bike in extreme situations and where speed also plays an important role.

The objective of this sport is to ride the bicycle along a difficult route and over marked obstacles located within an area, without touching the ground with any part of the body or the bicycle, except with the tires and with the established time.

This sport, like motorcycle trials, is competed in zones. There’s 5 zones And each one has 6 Steps or ObstaclesIn other words, each step has 1a, 1b, or 1c and when you get through them You score 10 points, if the pilot puts one foot on it doesn’t add up to it and if it falls it only adds up the obstacles you have passed before falling.

AREAS

It is the route delimited with tape and controlled by the Zone Judge through which the participant will pass with the bicycle. The participant must pass over obstacles, without touching the ground with any part of the body. The number of zones will be 5 for the beginner, juvenile and children’s categories and 5 more for cadet, junior, senior and elite.
There are two essential elements in the zones, the direction arrow and the door arrow:
Direction: An arrow that indicates where the participant should go.
Door: two arrows pointing at each other and leaving a space for the participants to pass through, these simulate an imaginary ribbon for the other levels.
