city of Tarragona hosted the participants of the national Classic Trial on Saturday and Sunday. The event that inaugurated the 2014 competitive year was held there. The three categories Yellow, Green and Blue, had a good number of entries.
MC Tarragona prepared a race with 10 sections and they all did two laps. There was a good racing atmosphere on both days and the drivers went home very satisfied.
On Saturday in Amarillos, José María Martínez Anaya took the victory with zero points in his locker. Both his skill and his IQ helped him get a perfect score. Vicente Miguel was second and Vicente Rios third.
In Greens, Francisco Aldecoa, Xavier Vallés and Francesc Planells competed for the podium, but in the end it was Francisco who was the best. In Blues, Francesc Ciurana scored 9 points and his coefficient of 0.80 left him as first classified with a total of 7 points. Ramón Membrives was second and Diego Urreta third.
On Sunday, both Francisco Aldecoa and Francesc Ciurana repeated their victory in the Yellows and Blues. In the Greens there was a new winner, Carlos Bosch. Juan Miguel and Francisco Cabré joined him on the podium. In Greens, Martí Font and Francesc Planells were with Aldecoa in the boxes of honour and in Blues it was Marc Cabré and Diego Urreta who followed Ciurana in the classification.
The next round of the RFME Spanish Cup of Classic Trials will be held on April 26 and 27 in Sigüenza, Guadalajara, under the command of MC Alcarreño.
