Test More Torque Device for Trial Bikes

More torque is a device for trial bikes, in addition to other specialties, technically very simple that, basically, is responsible for putting more oxygen into the combustion and achieving better performance of the bike at low revs.
We spoke to Xavi, the architect of this ambitious project that already has the approval of elite riders. The Trialworld team received two
devices plus torque
, one of them for larger displacement bikes and the second specific for 125cc bikes. Before installing the devices and evaluating first-hand their performance, let’s get to know first-hand the features of this product.

Trialworld: What is the More Torque device and why is it created?
Xavi: The project was born as a resource to pollute less, and from there we moved on to a device to improve the performance of the engine. We work not only for Trial, but also for other specialties of the motorcycle and even Rally cars.

Technically, the function of the device is to ionize the air. It is composed of noble metals and mineral ceramics that attract negative ions, allowing more oxygen to enter the combustion. The less displacement and power the bike has, the more noticeable the device is. On the other hand, on large displacement motorcycles, such as enduro, we make the bike more docile and manageable.
TW: What do you get with this device on a trial bike?
XV: The bike becomes more electric and the engine feels fuller from below, thanks especially to improved combustion. For example, on 125cc motorcycles this improvement is much more noticeable. It is valid for both 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines, although it is more noticeable in two-stroke engines.
Assembly is very simple. Simply place the device inside the air filter box, for example by the pin that holds the air filter.
It does not use any toxic elements and the estimated duration is about 30 to 35 years. In addition, it does not require any maintenance.

The first thing that strikes us about this element is its simplicity. It weighs hardly any and its dimensions are very small. There is little else you can do with this device in your hand, as it is completely sealed and its interior is not visible.
We proceed to disassemble the filter cover of a

and proceed to place it. The device itself comes with a tab with a hole to attach it inside the filter box. There aren’t many options here and it’s best to take advantage of the screw that holds the filter (or in this case the clip) and install it right there. It’s a simple operation that takes just five minutes.

Dynamically we were surprised with its performance. From the moment we start the bike we feel the engine fuller, with a more forceful and direct first throttle . At medium and high revs, on the other hand, possible differences from standard behavior are more difficult to appreciate.
Our assessment is that this device brings more life and energy to the first hit of throttle, something especially useful in small displacement motorcycles, including the 250cc, since we get more forcefulness, but controlled and logical, without reaching the aggressiveness that a larger displacement motorcycle can offer. In other words, it maintains its virtues, but it is vitamin the first hit of gas.

Probably on larger displacement bikes, such as the 300cc, for most fans the standard response will already be more than enough. If this is not the case, this device offers a simple and effective alternative to achieve a plus in performance without the need to make modifications to the mechanics.
