The prestigious Sherco technician, Josep R. Paxau, father of the current ST, talks to us in this short interview about his vision of what the 2012 Sherco range will bring to the Trial segment. In this way, the aim is to strengthen the confidence of the fans after Sherco’s hard work in the last two years. As Paxau himself says: “we believe we are in the forefront of modernity and innovation”.
In the G.P . of Italy, in addition to a good sporting show , the first units of the 2012 ranges corresponding to the main Trial brands could be seen. In Trialworld we have been one step ahead and since July 10 we have all the details of the new Ossa and Montesa online; now it’s Sherco’s turn, which also presented its new plans to the general public.
As can be seen in the images, there are few changes and in general terms the trend started two editions ago is maintained, betting on the tubular chassis and the relocation of the fuel tank to make way for the air filter.
In the 2012 range this filter box has been completely redesigned; Now it is lower and slimmer, and the filter itself is also new. There is also a Keihin carburetor, which will apparently be fitted as standard in the 2012 range, and a silencer whose throttle outlet points to the rear of the bike, rather than to the right side.
Finally, as usual, the graphics are new and maintain the corporate Sherco color, although white takes center stage again over black. Another aesthetic detail is that the steering plates are gold-colored.
