Positive balance for the National Trial Team at the Andorra GP

A month and a half after the second round of the TrialGP World Championship was held, the third was held this past weekend. Andorra and, more specifically, the town of Sant Julià de Lòria, was the scene of the event that was enjoyed by the many fans who came to the areas prepared by the organization. Especially on Saturday, it was overwhelmed and had to ask for help from the local authorities to control the situation, as the public flocked to enjoy the best riders in the Trial world.

From 1 to 4 the zones had a lot of grip and were easy. They passed without major setbacks, but from 5 to 11 they were on the river. The passages were very narrow and many points were made. They were very slippery and complicated by the water. The organization also carried out the “Kiss Andorra” contest by giving out some bags so that the public, as they watched the Trial, could pick up the rubbish that they found along the way. There were prizes for which three handed out the fullest bags.

The RFME Trial Junior Team travelled to Andorra with renewed enthusiasm and a great desire to do well.

Podium for Martín Riobo

On the first day of competition, Alex Canales was the best classified of our team in the Trial2 category, being twelfth and recovering the good sensations. Pablo Suárez finished fourteenth, Pol Medinya twenty-first and Eric Miquel sixteenth.

For his part, Martín Riobo, continued with his good feeling and climbed to the third step of the podium showing his enormous quality.

On Sunday, things went a little better in Trial2. Suárez finished ninth, Canales tenth, Miquel eighteenth and Medinya twenty-fourth, although all far from what is expected of them. For his part, Riobo was on the verge of the boxes of honour with a fourth position, already close to the bronze medal in 2021.
