Dougie Lampkin’s son makes his debut scoring points in the Trial 125 World Championship

Alfie Lampkin, son of multiple world champion Dougie Lampkin, has made his Trial World Championship debut in the 125cc class.

The debut took place at the Andorra Trial GP, held over two scoring days in Sant Julià de Loire. As fate would have it, this was the same venue where his father, Dougie, scored his first World Cup points 28 years ago.

Alfie knew how to handle perfectly the pressure that comes with carrying the Lampkin name on his back. The first day was taken as a contact with the terrain and non-stop regulations on the demanding Andorran route, where the altitude implies a great physical and technical demand for the mechanics. On this first day she finished in 17th position. Sunday was more emotional, as the British Vertigo rider managed to improve on the previous day’s result and finish within the points with a fourteenth position.

The next round of the TrialGP 125 World Championship will be this coming weekend in the French town of Cahors.
