ANESDOR Comment

José María Riaño, general secretary of ANESDOR:

This year has been a tragic year for the motorcycle market, which has recorded the lowest levels known since 1960.

The macroeconomic situation is not improving. In this context, it is not understandable why the Government does not grant any aid to alleviate this situation, as it does in passenger cars with the PIVE plan. Even though these types of plans are profitable and produce more income than expenses, also in the case of the motorcycle.

It must be remembered that the motorcycle is the most practical solution to the problems of traffic and pollution.

The motorcycle is an “anti-crisis” vehicle. Its acquisition price is lower and so is its maintenance cost. Capable of making the average annual journey (3,000 kms.) with less than €100 of fuel. Reducing travel times by 50-70% and solving parking problems.
