has presented its new range
of 2018 trial
models, whose models continue to be the Cota 4RT in its standard version and Race Replica, the Cota 300RR that stars in these lines and the Montesa 4Ride, whose concept is more linked to trial excursions.
Of the entire new range, only the
Montesa Cota 4RT 2018 and the Montesa 4Ride
receive changes. Therefore, the brand’s two top-of-the-range models remain identical, with minimal aesthetic details incorporated to homogenize the corporate image.
However, let’s take a look at the most important changes that the Montesa Cota 300RR received in its 2017 range:
– Three-ring piston instead of two. It improves engine response, especially at low and medium revs.
– Redesign of the piston head, which is now flatter. It improves combustion efficiency at low revs and reduces vibrations.
– Redesigned cylinder to adjust it to the new piston, improving the efficiency of the engine, with a feeling closer to the competition bike.
– New ECU maps
– Shorter brake pedal to avoid impacts.
– New, more resistant silencer.
– Improved fork settings for better absorption capacity and greater stability.
