Although Laia was not present at the double round in Andorra as it coincided with the Enduro World Championship, the fact that only the three best results of the five races are counted, allows the multiple champion to have options to revalidate the crown. It will be next Friday, September 6, when the fifth and last scoring race will be held, specifically in La Chatre (France).

Laia Sanz: “At the beginning of the season I had practically ruled out competing in the trial world championship, but at this stage of the year, I see that there is a remote option to fight for the title. I would like to win my thirteenth trial world championship, but above all what makes me very excited is to participate in a race of this modality. Everyone took it for granted that I would quit trial, but if I missed a race it was because some enduro and trial events overlapped. I haven’t said goodbye yet,” Sanz says.
“It won’t be easy for me because I haven’t raced with this new system yet, whereas the other riders have been able to do it. The English are also used to it because the non-stop rule has been implemented in their country for a long time. With these regulations, you can’t stop for a moment to think about how to deal with the obstacles, so I’ll have to adapt quickly and without margin.”
