GASGAS TXT 2023 development video: “we have focused on chassis development”

At the 2022 Spanish Trial Grand Prix we were surprised by the debut in competition of the prototype that will give rise to the new GASGAS TXT 2023 trial, which will be officially presented in just over 15 days.

In this video prepared by GASGAS, those involved in the development, design and evolution of the 2023 range have starred in this video detailing the work that the group has done on the new model.

On the one hand, we find Joachim Sauer, product manager at GASGAS Trial: “To develop the new trial bike we focused mainly on the chassis itself, there was no need to develop the engine. “We wanted more manageability and agility. We have one of the best bikes and we want to keep it.”

TELEMETRY FOR KEY INSIGHTS

KTM’s large resources have been key in determining the key points of development in the new 2023 GASGAS TXT, according to Sauer: “In the evolution of the new bike we have worked with data logging with more than 40 signals and sensors that provide us with very important information about the maximum forces, the tension points of the bike, and this helps us to fine-tune parts such as the swingarm or the frame. The aim of the new project was to get better drivability, improve quality and make a bike that was aesthetically much more up-to-date.”

Albert Cabestany has also been involved in this project, contributing his vision as a former rider and also as a team manager: “Among the most significant changes was understanding where our bike was in the past, doing all the telemetry and stress testing, understanding where the bikes were where they were suffering the most and improving them.”
