Gas Gas chose the prestigious Milan Motor Show 2016 to present the products that will endorse the new direction of the company after the acquisition by Torrot Group. Starting from the premise that Torrot is fully committed to electric propulsion and technology in its products, which are mostly urban, it is expected that this knowledge and experience will quickly be applied in the market segment on which Gas Gas works, i.e. Offroad.
It is a project driven by the synergies between Torrot and Gas Gas, which has crystallized in a fantastic electric trial that now sets its sights on its more than possible mass production. A future commercialization that would be motivated by the great expectation she aroused after her victory in Lourdes, where she was proclaimed the first winner of an electric trial event in the history of the world championship.

GAS GAS TXT EGD ELECTRIC TRIAL
This is not the first time that Gas
Gas
has expressed its intention to address the electric motorcycle market. In fact, the

was even marketed on a TXT Pro frame and a German-made propulsion. The marketing and the bet was timid, but it was already a declaration of intent.
The new TXTe EGD (Electric Gear Drive) has become the best expression symbol of the fusion of Torrot and Gas Gas. An astonishing and competitive trial prototype that perfectly combines Torrot’s own concepts of freedom and electric mobility, with Gas Gas‘ passion for competition.
The teamwork between both companies, part of the same business group since the beginning of 2016, has resulted in the most advanced electric company in the world of trial today. A motorcycle that inherits the resistant chassis of the TXT range of Gas Gas -a benchmark in its specialty- with the latest technology in the electric section of Torrot, and whose result has been An electric trial without comparison in its segment.
In terms of chassis, it shares all the elements with the TXT Pro, including Tech fork and Reiger shock, thus guaranteeing optimal performance and more than proven performance. As a detail, the place of the filling cap has been replaced by a display that indicates the battery charge by means of an LED system.
GAS GAS EGD ELECTRIC MOTOR
Gas Gas announces an 18KW – 20NM electric powertrain powered by a 1500 WH lithium battery, which translates into an approximate autonomy of 90 minutes and the possibility of obtaining 100% charge in less than two hours.
The gearbox is a six-speed gearbox and the clutch is entrusted to a diaphragm hydraulic system.

A real trial bike that, inside, hides an efficient water-cooled electric motor, powered by a state-of-the-art battery. An efficient engine to which are added the new incorporation of a gearbox with six ratios and a clutch system that make this Gas Gas TXTe EGD a unique motorcycle in its kind. The first electric trial capable of combining these two elements in a speciality in which touch is everything when it comes to overcoming the most complicated obstacles.
In addition to these, one of the best-kept secrets of the Salt factory lies in its controller. A real electronic brain, whose data allows the control of parameters that until now were unthinkable to manage by fuel engines, despite the recent introduction of new electronic injection engines. An agile, light and easy-to-ride package, which makes the Gas Gas TXTe EGD a highly competitive model in the trial as it already demonstrated during the last French TrialGP, at the end of June in Lourdes.
THE STAMP OF WORLD CHAMPION MARC COLOMER
A new path in the world of trial born from the feedback of knowledge between Gas Gas and Torrot, under the watchful eye, talent and experience of Marc Colomer, one of the main people responsible for the development of this new electric trial bike.
The stamp of the rider from Santa Pau has become more than evident in this project, a personal involvement that has led the multiple world champion to put on his helmet again after fourteen years away from competition, to return to the world championship with the premiere of the new TXTe EGD.
