Fajardo wins and Toni Bou adds his tenth Spanish Championship title

Peñarroya-Pueblonuevo hosted this weekend the last round of the national Trial Championship. The TR1, TR2, TR3, TR4, Junior and Cadet categories have been the ones that have competed in the province of Cordoba, playing for the title in the areas prepared by the organization.
On this occasion it was the Moto Club La Afición that carried out the race in which it rained today, complicating the passage through them. Yesterday, in qualifying and with the sun as a witness, Toni Bou was the best followed by Jorge Casales and Jeroni Fajardo.
As the rains were already foreseeable, the areas were made accordingly and only a few very specific passages had to be changed due to danger.

JERONI FAJARDO WINS IN TR1

In TR1 the victory went to Jeroni Fajardo , who tied on points with Jorge Casales who finished second. Toni Bou finished third, which allowed him to be, once again, champion of Spain.

Alex Canales has beaten the rest of the rivals in the Junior category. Raúl Guimera and Pol Mediña had to settle for second and third. Adriá Mercadé has been the best of Cadete. Roger Casas finished second and Oriol Giró closed the top three.

DECLARATIONS

Jeroni Fajardo P1
“This weekend I arrived in Cordoba with a lot of enthusiasm. I knew that the only result that mattered to me was winning, so I’ve been going out with an aggressive mentality since Saturday, going all out. It was perfect and with this victory we put the finishing touch to a great season with the manufacturers’ title for GasGas. I want to thank the whole team because this year we have all done an exceptional job.”
Toni Bou P3
I’m happy to win the championship. The sections were easy and we expected that with the rain it would be a bit complicated, but it wasn’t to be. We finished with very few points. We took advantage of this race to try some modifications to the bike, but we didn’t leave very happy, so we will have to continue working. Racing is like that and it’s a good experience. We are very happy with the tenth title, which is a lot, and today we fought to finish on the podium, and we achieved it.
