2017 Honda RTL 300 R

Honda maintains the parallel exclusive marketing for Japan of its RTL Trial model, which receives minor modifications compared to the European model, the Montesa Cota.
The news is that from this month of February begins the marketing of the new Honda RTL 300 R 2017, a model based on the

DIFFERENCES HONDA RTL 300R AND MONTESA COTA 300RR

As you can see, the main difference is aesthetics, since the RTL 2017 bets on the predominance of the white color, instead of the corporate red of Montesa, with a body sitting on a chrome frame instead of black. In general terms, it has a more elegant and less racing image than the European model.

Technically, there are also differences. Basically, there are modifications to the piston and electronics, giving the ECU a different programming to optimize its behavior in the low and medium rev range. Honda advertises a power of 20.7hp at 7,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 24.8 Nm at 4,000 rpm.

Work has also been done on the weight of the bike. That’s why we find new hubs on both axles and brake discs with different diameters, the front being now 183.5 mm and the rear 150 mm.
The advertised weight for the 2017 Honda RTL 300 R is 72.6 kg.
