DECLARATIONS

Toni Bou: “I’m very happy to end the year like this, with a win. There was no pressure and it’s different to race with the job already done, with the title already won. It’s a luxury to be able to run a race this way, you’re more relaxed, although sometimes it doesn’t go so well, because you’re not as attentive. I think I was able to enjoy riding, and also finish with a win.
It’s been a fantastic year. I’m very happy with the team, with how they’ve worked and I just hope that the next four years will be as good as this one.”

raganacional14 2Raga: “The truth is that this last round of the championship has not gone as we expected. At the beginning I started badly, scoring three fives and then I added another. The tricky sections, where you could recover points, were in the first part, so there wasn’t too much margin for error and it was impossible for us to recover positions in the standings during the final part of the reconnaissance. Despite this, I’m left with the good riding sensations I had in this final part of the race. The national championship had already been decided and, after missing the Candeleda event due to scaphoid surgery, our goal was to finish the year in the best way and start training and working for the next World Cup, which is the most important thing for us”.

Jorge Casales: “At the beginning, until the fourth zone we didn’t do very well. The first areas were very wet and very difficult. However, after that we were able to recover and finally I finished in fifth position. We have closed the Spanish championship with a fifth place in a very nice trial with a lot of fans. This result is positive for us. I’m satisfied, I think we’ve had a good season. We’ve worked a lot with the team on the bike, we’ve improved and now it’s time to think about next season. We will continue to train hard and I will participate in some indoor events to face next season in full condition and continue improving.”

Arnau Farré:As in TR2 everything was already decided and the runner-up position was assured, we have decided to participate in TR1 to gain experience for next year. I started the race well, in the first section I scored a zero and that gave me confidence. Although from the fourth I added some fives and, finally, I finished ninth. I am satisfied with the result. This was my first round of the national in TR1. On the other hand, I think we had a good season in TR2, where we were always fighting for the top positions and, in the end, we finished second. Next year I will participate in TR1 at the nationals. That will help me gain experience competing alongside the best drivers in the top category.”
