We thoroughly tested the new Racko Adventure multi-purpose platform, an interesting transport solution that allows us to dispense with the traditional trailer and facilitate both movement and storage.
Racko Adventure is presented as a new category within outdoor sports transportation solutions. In terms of aesthetics, robustness and versatility, it is a step up from what other platforms on the market, such as Thule or TowCar, offer.
It is manufactured in Zaragoza and the team has been immersed in the research and development of this transport solution for more than 3 years. They have thought of a structure of very high resistance that, starting from a common base, is capable of being customized with different accessories to meet different specialties of outdoor sports. That is, you can take your skis in winter, your surfboard in summer, and every weekend move your trial bike, or bicycles.
TRY RACKO ADVENTURE
Six months ago we contacted Danilo, founder of Racko, to understand the project and test the platform. For us, this platform was in addition to other transport solutions we already have, such as the van and the trailer.
Asking Danilo why Racko Adventure was born, the answer is very obvious: to have a high-quality multipurpose platform that accompanies you for life in your outdoor sports, facilitating all the loading, unloading and storage operations.
WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF USING THE FLATBED MOTORCYCLE TRAILER?
The first thing you need to consider is the following:
- How many motorcycles do I have to move?
- Do I need to take non-trial bikes?
If you only have to move one motorcycle and it is a trial bike, without a doubt this platform is the perfect solution for you. In case the additional bike is an enduro bike, we would already exceed the maximum permissible load, so it cannot be transported. And you can’t travel more than one motorcycle either, unless we’re talking about children’s motorcycles.
ADVANTAGES

During this time of testing, the truth is that the Racko has not surprised in all aspects.
First of all, because of the simplicity of storage. You can store it comfortably in your garage or storage room, occupying only 120 x 71.5 x 11 cm. When you need to transport it from the garage to the ball, you just have to drag it as if it were a wheelbarrow, as it has retractable wheels that facilitate the operation.
Then, simply point the platform lance at the trailer hook and start lowering the safety lock lever. Once engaged, all the pressure is exerted on the ball and the platform is suspended with maximum safety. In addition, it has a key to prevent the platform from being removed without further ado.
LOAD PLACEMENT
Once we have the platform ready, we can raise the bike by hand or by means of a ramp that is supplied as an extra.
It should be noted that to place a motorcycle on the platform we must have the Lightweight Motorcycle Kit for Racko Adventure mounted, which consists of a large arch and a fastening system for the front wheel.
Once the bike is on, you have to brake the load, fasten both wheels to the platform and also laterally. In just three minutes you can get the bike perfectly loaded.
If you need to handle the trunk with the load on, this Racko Adventure has a device that allows you to delay the platform telescopically and allow the tailgate to open without touching the handlebars.
RIDING WITH THE RACKO ADVENTURE
The truth is that driving is a luxury. Accustomed to the traditional trailer, which limits the speed of the vehicle and involves more weight, driving a platform that is suspended is much more comfortable. Basically, you don’t feel like you’re carrying a load in the back.
As with everything, you should be cautious and not exceed the speed limits for safety, but you have more leeway with a platform like this versus a trailer.
