A NEW CONCEPT OF TRIAL BOOTS
To understand these new Zone2 we must not take the first Zone saga as a reference, but analyze them from a completely new perspective.
When we heard about the launch of the new model, we spoke with César Carmona, who was responsible for the design and development of these boots. He emphasised that they have opted for the highest quality materials, both for comfort and durability, also using new technical solutions specific to the trial rider.
The manufacture has been carried out in Italy, in a region that is the cradle of motorcycle boot manufacturing. The material used is Mycro, having subjected these new boots to harsh tests for abrasion, tear and seam resistance. It is also worth noting its high frontal protection at shin height with a second layer of plastic on which the upper closure of the boot is anchored.
DYNAMIC TEST MOTS ZONE2 BOOTS
A key point for us was to go out into the field and try out the boots, something we usually do with all brands before considering their incorporation into the Trialworld Store catalogue.
The first big thing about these boots, and perhaps their most prominent point, is the lightness. Each

The fit is precise and effective. The closures are well worked and it is not a torture to play with the distance of the closures to adjust the boot to our size. As for the sole, it is also very well thought out, with a reinforcement of studs in the area where the stirrup rests, something that provides more stability and durability. We also liked how Mots has solved the instep area, providing extra protection in the area most exposed to wear by the gear lever, something that favors the aesthetics and durability of the boot in the future.
The important data that we pointed out is the most representative dynamically. The feeling they bring to the rider is one of firmness and stability, without losing the obvious flexibility that the trial rider needs, but with the added advantage of being very light and not very bulky. It is probably a difficult piece of information to evaluate, since to show this feeling of lightness it is necessary to have several boots at hand from different brands and try them out. We, who do have this comparative capacity, have come out of the test very surprised, to the point of stating that, probably, we are facing one of the best trial boots on the market.
