The legendary Sheffield Indoor Trial has celebrated its 25th anniversary, offering a new chapter of duel between Toni Bou and Adam Raga, with the final prize for the rider from Montesa after winning the last round.
The Fly DSA dock opened its doors on December 28 and was ahead of the traditional date of the first weekend of January. On this 25th anniversary, the person in charge of designing the areas was Dougie Lampkin, who took up such traditional areas as the high jump or parallel races.
The first drivers to qualify were Toby Martyn, who was making his debut with TRS, and Jack Peace.
In the next qualifying, where a total of eight riders were already measured, Raga, Bou, Martyn and Busto went on to the next round, in this order. James Dabill, who tied with Busto, Peace and Price, were left out.
As for the final, Raga came in very strong, having led the previous round. However, things did not start well for him in the final, as he scored a fiasco and Bou began to open up the gap.
This distance was able to be maintained until the last section, where he scored five points again and Bou extended his difference to seven points, scoring the victory in the 25th edition of the Sheffel Indoor Trial.
Behind them, a beautiful duel between Martyn and Busto, with the final podium for the Basque rider by only three points against the Briton. A duel that was basically resolved in the third area of the course.
