The X-Trial of Budapest, the third round of the World Championship that will be held on January 19 in the Hungarian capital, has already designated the three riders who will accompany the 5 Championship Riders of the championship (Toni Bou, Adam Raga, Jaime Busto, Benoit Bincaz and Gabriel Marcelli). They are Jeroni Fajardo (Sherco), Miquel Gelabert (Vertigo) and Jorge Casales (Gas Gas).
Fajardo earned the right to participate in the Hungarian event of the season by qualifying as the best Event Rider of the X-Trial of Rennes in which he obtained the third position that he disputed against Miquel Gelabert. The young rider from Vertigo accumulates two fourth positions in the first two rounds of the season and will arrive in Budapest occupying the same place in the provisional Championship standings headed by Toni Bou after having won the first two rounds of the 2020 calendar.

Jorge Casales made his debut as a Gas Gas rider
in the 2020 indoor season, obtaining a meritorious fifth position in the inaugural test held on Reunion Island. The Spaniard was sixth in the last edition of the X-Trial in Budapest in which Jeroni Fajardo climbed to the third step of the podium.
This will be the third time in a row that the FIM X-Trial World Championship visits the Hungarian capital, confirming the consolidation of this speciality in a country it has never visited before.
