Toni Bou wins again at the X-Trial in de Chalon-sur-Saône

The second round of the X-Trial World Championship was held for the first time in Chalon-sur-Saône in front of the 3,800 spectators who filled Le Colisée.

The championship, which started at 20:35 and ended at 23:15, was very close between the two best riders in the world, Adam Raga and Toni Bou, which created a tense atmosphere in the venue.

The starting order of the riders was: Gabriel Marcelli, Sondre Haga, Toby Martyn, Bienot Binacaz, Jaime Busto, Matteo Grattarola, Adam Raga and of course, Toni Bou. On the first lap, the best classified riders and, therefore, have passed to the second phase, were: the world champion Toni Bou tied at 11 feet with Adam Raga, Toby Martyn with 9 points, Matteo Grattarola with 17, Sondre Haga with 12 feet penalty and Jaime Busto with one more than Haga.

In the second phase, the three riders who obtained the lowest score and therefore went through to the grand final were Toni Bou, tied with Adam Raga with 13 feet, and the big surprise of the night Toby Martyn with 17 penalty points .

The grand final was heart-stopping, as the two big teams, Raga and Bou, were very close and were playing for first place. In the end, the podium was shared with Toni Bou as first classified and champion of this second round of the championship, thus obtaining the 71st victory of his career. The second place was reserved for Adam Raga, who was only a foot behind Toni and finally in third place was Toby Martyn winning his first race of the X-Trial.
