Toni Bou one step away from his eleventh Xtrial world title

The Palais Nikkaïa in Nice will host the closing ceremony of the FIM X-Trial World Championship, where Repsol Honda Team rider Toni Bou will be looking to add to his legend as the best rider in the world with his eleventh indoor title.

This coming Friday, the last day of March,
Toni Bou
has a new appointment with history. The Repsol Honda Team rider will contest the fourth and final race of the FIM X-Trial World Championship season , which could see him crowned, for the eleventh consecutive time, as the best rider in indoor competitions.
The final edition of the
X-Trial calendar
will be held in Nice, France, where the best riders will once again face each other in a race that will decide the 2017 champion.
Toni Bou only needs five points to be crowned champion, which could happen around ten o’clock at night. As one of only four riders to make the cut in qualifying, the math would make the Repsol Honda Team rider the (new) World Champion.
For his part,
Adam Raga
practically has the World Runner-up position in his hand, being the only one capable of snatching the crown from Bou. In any case, a great duel awaits us on French soil.
The third place in the championship will be disputed between Fajardo and Cabestany, the latter being the one who has more options as he accumulates six points ahead in the standings.
Toni Bou:

We are facing the last race of the X-Trial season and a small step away from the first goal of the year, but the work system to face this final round is the same as we have done so far: a lot of work and concentration. We’ll have to do a good qualifier to secure the title. We have always said that in a short championship you have to be very careful not to fail because the rivals are always there. And it’s true: not failing in the previous races has led us to have a better chance of winning the title and to be able to ride with a little more peace of mind in this last race in Nice. Concentration will continue to be essential so as not to throw away the work done so far.
