Sept. 17-18 Ponte di Legno Italy

Reigning World Champion Toni Bou, who has won a total of 19 races at the Spanish TrialGP, is the overwhelming favourite to claim his 16th outdoor title at the end of the season. Bou arrives at this first round of the World Championship after taking his 125th victory in the last race of 2021.

Toni Bou: "This year is the time that physically I arrive better at the start of the World Cup. That's how it was when we started the indoor season and now we're doing very well. We have prepared very well. Anyway, once you start, you have to work hard. We're looking forward to it after working hard during this pre-season. There is expectation to see how we will fare in competition. We started the outdoor season at home, both in L'Hospitalet de L'infant and in Sant Julià de Lòria. It will be a short championship, with high temperatures during the months of June to September. On the other hand, both the long-time rival, Adam Raga, and the rest of the riders, have improved their level and are more dangerous outdoors than indoors. For me it's one more motivation to keep fighting for the successes that can come."
