With a spectacular atmosphere and more than 9,000 spectators, the Palau Sant Jordi welcomed the best riders in the trial world to compete in the fourth scoring event of the calendar. A race where Bou arrived convalescing from a back injury that occurred in training and that prevented him from getting on the bike until yesterday.
Despite everything, Toni Bou added his 66th victory of his sporting career in a race where Adam Raga dominated the first two rounds and stood up to Toni Bou even in the grand final. Adam’s effectiveness was impressive. In the fourth zone of the final, where both arrived with only one penalty point, Raga added a final five for the final result.

X-TRIAL BARCELONA 2020 STATEMENTS

Toni Bou (1st):

“It was an impressive victory because of the difficulty of the sections, because of Adam’s great riding and, above all, because I’m not one hundred percent from a physical point of view. I had a fall a week ago, I hurt my back and I haven’t been able to train anymore. In the first two laps I didn’t feel completely comfortable and, in addition, in the final I changed bikes, but I forgot about the pain and discomfort and I achieved the victory in a race that is always very special because of the atmosphere, to compete in front of your people and, this year, because I have recovered the path of victory here”.

Adam Raga (2nd):

“I’m happy because my performance has been very good. I was the best in the first two rounds and the mistake in the fourth section of the final sealed the outcome of the race. The atmosphere was fantastic and the crowd had a great time because the level of riding we are at this season is really very high.”

Jorge Casales (3rd):

“This season everything is new; the bike and the team and, for this reason, today’s podium has much more value apart from being the first of my sporting career in the specialty. Also, Barcelona is like my second home and it’s been great to get on the podium here.”

The next round of the FIM X-Trial World Championship will be held at the Bizkaia Arena in Bilbao on February 15th.
