The second round of the Spanish Classic Trial Cup was held in Amurrio, Álava, last weekend. As usual, with a good number of registrants and an organization of 10 according to the contest by MC Aiala.
There were areas with a lot of water in which the riders enjoyed a lot as well as a perfect marking. The weather was good, which was also appreciated, and the weekend was complete and very good.
Yellow Classics and Postclassics
On both Saturday and Sunday there was competition in Amurrio and each of the days scored independently, although only one podium was made on Sunday. Thus, in Pre-75 Amarillos José María Martínez was the winner of the category with a total of 21 points on his card. Mario del Castillo was classified second and José María Cosculluela third.
In the Manuel Soler Classics, the winner was José Enrique Romero, who scored only 15 points compared to 31 for Jesús Ruiz and Severiano Arroyo. In the Yellow Postclassics, Francisco Javier Antolín, Antonio Domínguez and Josep Lluis Marco were on the podium with 37, 52 and 57 penalties, respectively.
Trials, Postclassics, Greens and Pre-80s
Martín Mendibil took the victory in Trialeros although he was very close to Mariano Gómez who did not make things easy for him. The player from Bultaco had 34 points and Gomez 37. Manel Campoy rounded out the top three.
Miquel Cirera won in Postclásicos Verdes with a total of 23 points. Beltrán Martínez was second and Marino Galilea third. Finally, in Pre-80 Greens, Roberto Mendibil climbed to the first step of the podium, Rafael Sirvent to the second and Jaume Jordana to the third. Their penalties were 35, 58 and 60 for each of them.

The next round of the Spanish Cup of Classic Trials will be held on June 4 and 5 in Arteixo, A Coruña.
