This weekend the second round of the national Classic Trial was held in Sigüenza, Guadalajara. After the organization of the Spanish Enduro and Cross Country Championships, the Moto Club Alcarreño still had strength and desire to carry out this event.
As it could not be otherwise, the prepared areas have been to the liking of all the participants and two very beautiful days of this discipline have been lived. The Parador Nacional car park was where the paddock was located and from where a race was started with riders who gave it their all.
Nearly 100 entries, divided into five categories, have competed to be in the boxes of honor. It has been two days of racing in which there have been some who have taken home a double and others who have overtaken their rivals with authority.
MILL, ALDECOA AND MENDIBIL WIN ON SATURDAY AND SUNDAY
On Saturday, Oscar Mill won the Experts category with zero points, followed by Jaime Mora and Pere Antón Mill. On Sunday the result was exactly the same, so all three showed that they are the strongest in the category.
In the Classics, Vicente Arturo de Miguel, Joaquim Lara and Fernando Cabré were classified first, second and third, respectively, while today the three were also the protagonists but in different positions. Cabré first, Lara second and De Miguel third.
Manel Campoy took P1 on Saturday in Trialeros leaving Bertín Martínez second and Mariano Gómez third. Today the latter was the best, and Campoy and Gabriel Dus were behind.
In Pre-80 the result has been repeated on both days. Thus, Francisco Javier Aldecoa has climbed to the top step of the podium, Alberto Zárate to second and Antonio Guillem to third.
Finally, in Pre-75, Roberto Mendibil went home with a brace. José María Martínez and Rafael Asins were second and third yesterday and today Vicente Montoro and Martínez himself.
The next round of the RFME Spanish Cup of Classic Trials will be held on June 1 and 2 in Monte Naranco, Oviedo.
