The FIM X-Trial World Championship season came to a brilliant end in Andorra la Vella with a spectacular event in every sense of the word, to which Toni Bou (Repsol Montesa Honda) put the spectacularity and efficiency into achieving an overwhelming victory, as he penalised only two points over the course of the entire race.
In a sold-out Poliesportiu d’Andorra, Bou faced Adam Raga (TRRS) in the final where he had reached the first round to nil and the second with a single penalty point. Raga, on the other hand, had been penalized 5 points in the first round and 4 in the second.
The final has already begun to settle in the second zone in which the TRRS rider, who had discomfort in his hip after the dispute of the second round, has been charged with a 5 that he has repeated in the third, while Bou accumulated a single point. In the end, Bou did not accumulate any more penalties and won by 10 points to the delirium of the public.
For his part, Jeroni Fajardo (Gas Gas) has won third place in a very tight third place final that he has disputed against Jorge Casales (Vertigo), as he has won by a single point difference. This third place has guaranteed him the same position in the Championship standings as his main rival and teammate Jaime Busto, had been eliminated in the first round after being forced to change bikes.
Benoit Bincaz (Beta), who had some mathematical options of also opting for third place, has been ruled out as he was third in his group in the second round. Meanwhile, Takahisa Fujinami (Repsol Montesa Honda) made it through the first round after which, in addition to Busto, Miquel Gelabert (Sherco) and Luca Petrella (Beta) were eliminated.

“It’s been fantastic. I rode at a high level in a race where you couldn’t make mistakes and, in addition to being effective, I tried to make sure that the public had as much fun as possible because it was the first time I competed in an X-Trial in the country where I currently live. There is no better way to close the season because the event has been spectacular and the fans have had a great time”.
Adam Raga (2nd):
“Today’s second place is positive and it was especially difficult because I injured my left hip and I couldn’t compete at my best in the final. The subtitle is a good end to the season.”
Jeroni Fajardo (3rd):
“The race has been getting tougher as the rounds went by and this third place tastes like glory to me because Jorge Casales has made it very difficult for me in the final for third place. This position, combined with Jaime Busto’s result, has allowed me to finish third in the Championship, which is also important.”
The finishing touch to a spectacular evening of X-Trial in Andorra la Vella was the presentation of rewards to the top three finishers in the World Championship and Toni Bou received the trophy that accredits him as such.
