The 2018 X-Trial Indoor Trial World Championship kicks off

A new edition of the X-Trial World Championship, traditionally known as the Indoor World Championship, has begun. This 2018 edition promises to be exciting.
Toni Bou
will be looking to renew his indoor crown for the thirteenth time in a row, but in front of him will be an
Adam Raga
beaming with motivation after a splendid 2017 season.
The duo of favourites is joined by a rider in contention,
Jaime Busto
, whose performance is still unknown at the controls of his new Gas
Gas TXT GP,
the same bike that
Jeroni Fajardo
will ride as a teammate.

At the start of this championship, scheduled for December 3 in the French town of Vendée, there will also be
Takahisa Fujinami
, who has renewed for another year with Montesa, and James Dabill, who a priori will return to the controls of a Beta EVO.
Alongside them will also take part throughout the championship alternately with riders such as Benoit Bincaz, Alexandre Ferrer, Miquel Gelabert, Jorge Casales, Matteo Grattarola, Gabriel Marcelli and Arnau Farre.

2018 X-TRIAL COMPETITION FORMAT

Each X-Trial event will have 9 participants, 6 zones and its format is divided into three parts: First Round, Second Round and Final.
First Round
In the First Round, the 9 drivers will compete in heats of 3. In each of them, they will have to carry out 6 zones. Each rider will have a maximum time of 6 minutes to complete the course. After the third round, a classification of the top 9 positions will be established. The top 6 finishers will take part in the Second Round.
Second Round
In the second round, the six qualified drivers will be split into two heats of 3. In each of them they will compete again in 6 zones and each of them will have 6 minutes to complete them consecutively. Once the second round is over, the first rider classified in each of them will move on to the Final.
Final
The final is a single task in which 2 riders face each other zone by zone over 6 sections. The rider with the lowest score is the winner of the X-Trial.
