The Trial2 World Championship has been decided in favour of Sondre “Gekko” Haga, after an exciting season where he managed to overtake his main rival, Pablo Suárez.
In the end, there were 11 points that separated Sondre and Pablo. In the case of the Nordic Beta rider, he has been able to be very consistent in a difficult category, where any mistake was costly. In Pablo’s case, the poor results of France and Belgium have meant that Sondre will be in a more comfortable position for the final round, with a points advantage that allows him to depend on himself.
With his first world title (last year he was already absolute European Champion), Haga becomes the first Norwegian World Champion in the sport and the fourth Nordic rider to win a world championship crown. The previous three, however, were in the top class, in TrialGP.
The bike that Sondre Haga has ridden this season is a 2022 Beta EVO 300cc Factory.
