Sherco, IRG and Torrot submit binding offer for Gas Gas

[UPDATE: TORROT PRESENTS THE BEST OFFER FOR GAS GAS] – READ MORE

Gas Gas is still struggling to get back into production. In a black year for the Girona brand, which has had the factory closed and not produced motorcycles since the beginning of the year, it faces the search for new investors to allow it to resume activity. Not in vain, the workers of Gas Gas presented on September 18 at the Trial of Nations a prototype of what would be the new Gas Gas TXT Pro 2016.
As in any liquidation process, it is necessary that certain requirements are met for the project to be firm and become a solid industrial fabric on national soil. It will be the commercial judge of Girona who will have to decide the future of the brand.

SHERCO INTERESTED IN GAS GAS

Meanwhile, the newspaper La Vanguardia announced yesterday, October 15, that Sherco, IRG and Torrot had submitted a binding offer for the purchase of Gas Gas.
Sherco, as you well know, is a French motorcycle manufacturer with a production plant in Caldes de Montbuí, IRG an investment fund and Torrot, an old bicycle brand that wants to manufacture motorcycles. In addition, half a dozen other companies reportedly submitted a non-binding offer for Gas Gas, but ultimately gave up on moving forward with the process.
The insolvency administrators plan to send the three binding offers to the judge so that he can decide what the future of Gas Gas will be.
