Gas Gas has just presented the new TXT Pro Factory 2014, the top model of the Girona brand’s Trial range, which in this limited edition has, in addition to a special technical value, a sentimental component to commemorate the brand’s 30th anniversary.
The image of the new Gas Gas TXT Pro Factory 2014 is based on the first model to come off the assembly lines, the Gas Gas Halley 325 PXC, a model created in 1985, named after the famous comet that orbited close to the Earth between that year and the next.
The Gas Gas Halley 325 went down in the history of the brand by becoming the model that achieved Gas Gas’ first victory in the Trial World Championship.
It happened in the Belgian town of Bilstain, during the second round of the 1987 World Championship, at the hands of Gabino Renales. The Spanish rider achieved the first victory of the firm in the top Trial competition beating Diego Bosis and Jordi Tarrés, who would win his first title that same year.

The Gas Gas TXT Pro Replica Factory 2014 receives important new features compared to the standard model and its vitaminized medium sister, the Gas Gas TXT Pro Racing.
On the engine side, the new ignition cover stands out, with a new design, the new Spal fan that leaves more space at the top and provides greater cooling to the engine.
The electrical installation has been completely renovated, simplifying and improving the connections.
For example, the engine can be removed without disassembling the new Kokusan ignition.
The kickstarter is newly designed, studying the travel and engraving for a better grip on the boot.
It includes an anti-rotation and easy removal of the pedal if necessary.

The new Tech aluminium fork features the settings that Gas Gas’ racing department has used in major competitions.
Continuing with the chassis part, the brake caliper also changes and is a self-supporting monoblock. The chain is Regina and the crown adopts the mandatory FIM self-cleaning system.
On the lower part of the bike, the previous screws have been replaced by another one on the skid plate of the crankcase, which makes it easier for the bike to slide.
A plaque on the frame reminds us that this is a special limited edition. Each of the 750 units that will be marketed carries a serial number, something that makes it even more exclusive.
All this is completed with the new special graphics that give a ‘retro’ touch to a motorcycle as special as this Gas Gas TXT Pro Replica Factory 30th anniversary, which will be manufactured in the displacements 250, 280 and 300.
