Sports biography of Borja Conejos
Borja Conejos was born on May 24, 1999 in Madrid. As he himself points out, “I’ve been a trial rider for as long as I can remember”. He started riding a trial bike when he was only 7 years old.
At the age of 10 he started in the world of competition and managed to win the Games
UCI Youth Trial World Championships (equivalent to the World Championship, but for under-16s).
From 2018 he started in the “elite” category. “It was a year of great success: I was Spanish Champion in my first year in this category, I went to the Final of a World Cup event and rose to number 13 in the world ranking.”
In 2019 he was proclaimed Champion of Spain, won the World Cup, was proclaimed World Runner-up and fourth classified in the European Championship. In January 2019 he was third in the UCI world rankings.
In 2020, in the middle of the pandemic, all international races were cancelled, but he was proclaimed Champion of the 2020 Spanish Trial Cup.
In 2021 he was proclaimed UCI Trials World Champion and, in addition, he revalidated the title of Spanish Champion for the fourth consecutive year. Finally, a hotly contested World Cup takes them to fourth place, tied with third and second.
