After the hiatus of 2014 and the issuance of its last
statement by Ossa Motor about its situation at
the beginning of 2016, the unknowns surrounding the brand are beginning to dissipate. While Torrot acquired Gas Gas and presented a plan to refloat the brand, the same did not happen with Ossa Motor, which shared part of its structure and production chain with Gas Gas.
Ossa is starting its journey in the bike sector again, with the help of Cool Bikes, who will be in charge of putting the brand back into operation. Cool Bikes, for the time being, has decided to start in the bicycle sector, with a clear commitment to urban mobility and with the intention of contributing to improving the current situation of cities.
THE FIRST MODEL: OSSA SPINTA e.CP 20
Its first model, the Spinta e.CP20, will go on sale in August 2017 and will begin shipping in mid-September. For the time being, it will not be available in stores, but only online on the brand’s website, betting on the elimination of intermediaries, to offer bike models with more competitive prices.
Spinta e.CP20 will be a bike model that will not leave anyone indifferent. With a design with modern and urban lines, it is an electric bike, compact and very easy to carry. It has a range of 50/60 km and takes between 2.5h and 5h to charge; hydraulic brakes, display with all the necessary information, built-in light, mudguards, 3 delivery options for the electric motor, stand and up to 28 km/h top speed. A bike designed to make mobility around the city quick and easy.
OSSA DOES NOT RULE OUT MAKING MOTORCYCLES AGAIN
Ossa, which intends to make a strong impression with its models, will put different models of bicycles in the hands of users in the coming months, to cover the different needs. The brand does not rule out returning to the world of motorcycles if in a couple of years the situation is prosperous for the brand.
