This race will mean the return to competition of the 12-time X-Trial World Champion Toni Bou who, after not being able to participate in the

due to medical prescription, returns to compete to defend the title that the Spanish team won last year in Pau. On that occasion, Bou’s teammate was Jaime Busto and both beat the British team of James Dabill and Jack Price and the French team of Benoit Bincaz and Alexandre Ferrer on the podium.

On this occasion, the Spanish line-up will be composed, in addition to Bou, by Miquel Gelabert (Sherco) who has been one of the great revelations of the X-Trial World Championship in which he has qualified fifth with a second place in Strasbourg as his best result.
France competes at home and does so with the same line-up as last year as Benoit Bincaz (Scorpa), who has been the rookie of the year in the World Championship occupying fourth place, four points behind third, will once again have Alexandre Ferrer (Sherco) as a teammate.

James Dabill (Beta) and Jack Price (Gas Gas) will once again be part of the Great Britain line-up aspiring to get on the podium, although they will not have it easy as the Italian line-ups with Matteo Grattarola (Montesa) and Luca Petrella (TRS) and Germany with Franz Kadlec (Gas Gas) and Max Faude (Beta) will try to make it as difficult as possible.

The Palais Nikaia in Nice will once again be the venue for the X-Trial of Nations after having been the venue for the last time in 2016.
