On October 14, the 2018 edition of the Montesada will be held, the annual event that brings together all the fans of the Spanish brand that has won the most titles.
The Barcelona town of Tona will once again be dyed the red colour of Montesa next Sunday, October 14, as usual, since since 2001 the number of participants in the event has increased every year, an unavoidable for the champions of the ‘Viva’.
Organized by the Montesa Club and the Tona Motorcycle Club, the Montesada will begin to receive its participants from 08:30, who will be able to enjoy a traditional breakfast. From 10:00 a.m., the trial will begin for all those registered for the Montesada and, once it is over, there will be an exhibition by the Repsol Honda Team riders Toni Bou and Takahisa Fujinami and also the Montesa Talent School. During the morning, the little ones will also be able to get started with two wheels by trying out electric children’s motorcycles with the monitors of the Honda Driving School.
In addition, from 10 a.m. until the end of the event, participants and visitors to the Montesada will be able to enjoy an extraordinary exhibition: the 50 years of the Montesa Cota. All the models, all those that the Spanish brand has manufactured since the first Cota unit came out to the most modern, world champion with Toni Bou, will be present at the Montesada. And speaking of the best Trial rider in history, the member of the Repsol Honda Team will also be on hand to sign posters for the brand’s fans celebrating his 24 world titles won this year.
Also, and as other additional events to the Montesada, you will be able to enjoy a fantastic route to do with the Montesa 4Ride. Tona will also be the place of arrival of the Impalada, the road trip carried out annually by owners of the various models of Montesa Impala that still roll in our country.
Registrations to participate in the Montesada are still open through the official Montesada website. With those registrations received before October 8, participants will receive an official t-shirt commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Cota, a bottle of Montesada special edition water, a keychain, notebook and pencil ’50th anniversary Cota’ as well as the ticket for breakfast.
