Jaime Busto is Montesa’s bet for the future

JaimebustomontesaRepsol Honda Team expands in 2015 with the arrival of a new rider with a great projection in the Trial World Championship: Jaime Busto. The Spaniard will compete alongside Toni Bou and Takahisa Fujinami in all races of the 2015 FIM Outdoor Trial World Championship and will also contest the 2015 Spanish Trial Championship . In both competitions he will do so in the highest category, at the handlebars of the Montesa Cota 4RT.

Jaime Busto (Górliz, 4/12/1997) is one of the riders of the future in the Trial specialty. In 2014 he was a brilliant winner of the FIM World Cup (former Junior World Championship), winning 7 races out of 13, and in 2012 he was champion in the Youth 125 category, a competition in which he made his debut in 2011 at the age of 13. At the national level, the Basque rider has won all the titles in the lower categories and this year he finished eighth overall despite suffering an injury in the final part of the season.

Jaime Busto: “I am very happy to be able to join the Repsol Honda Team, the best in the world. For me it is an honour to be alongside great champions such as Toni Bou and Takahisa Fujinami; I hope I can learn a lot from them. The Montesa Cota 4RT has surprised me. I’ll have to adapt to the 4-stroke, but I think it will be a quick adaptation.”

Miquel Cirera (Team Manager): “In the Repsol Honda Team we have the best riders in the world and we also want to continue to have them for many years to come, so that we can continue to win races and titles. We have had the chance to sign Jaime Busto, because he is one of the current young riders with a lot of future projection. He will be a good complement to our champions Toni Bou and Takahisa Fujinami.”
