The great innovation of 2004 was the incorporation of a new fork – Marzocchi – with a larger diameter ( it becomes 40 mm in the large displacement models and 38 mm in the 125 and 200 cc), in order to increase the rigidity of the set. The 2004 TXT Pro also adopts a new shock absorber in the rear suspension.
On the other hand, the clutch discs were replaced and, as a result, the cover and crankcases underwent modifications. Another mechanical novelty is the assembly of a new reed box with a built-in nozzle, in order to simplify assembly and disassembly tasks.
In the Gas Gas TXT Pro 2004 a new crankshaft seal, bearing and a thermo-contact incorporated directly into a radiator were also mounted, which is also new.
