Fruitful meeting between MCS and the Ministry of the Environment of the Community of Madrid

Moto de Campo Sostenible (MCS), the platform in defense of off-road users, continues its work of regulating the access of motorcycles to the natural environment.

Last week, the president of the Royal Spanish Motorcycling Federation, Manuel Casado, together with his counterpart from the Madrid Federation, Manuel Rodríguez, the head of the Environment of the RFME, Paula Arévalo, and Beatriz Igleisas, technical director of the FMM, met at the Ministry of the Environment of the Community of Madrid with Pablo Altozano, Deputy Minister of the Environment of the CM, Felipe Ruza, Director General of Sustainable Natural Resources, and José Luís Sanz Vicente, Director General of Agriculture, Livestock and Food.
Viable Projects
During the working day, it was proposed to regulate access to roads and livestock routes in unprotected areas so that motorists can travel through them. It would be done in a reduced, staggered and legal way to avoid overcrowding and conflicts with other users.
The objective is set in the medium term, as well as the possible creation of specific areas for the practice of motorcycle sport for a period of approximately five years. The projects have been received by the leaders of the Environment in a very positive way, since it has been insisted that this activity will reactivate the economy in the most depressed and sparsely populated areas.
In addition, the FMM requested to secure the permits for the competitions processed by the Madrid Federation, which often encounters administrative obstacles.
