From a hangover, to the World Cup

bou_editorialAfter a week enduring the long-awaited hangover that was going to produce in all the fans the catastrophic start to the 2011 Spanish Trial Championship, where the best drivers in the world were disqualified for exceeding the estimated maximum time, it seems that we are already starting to turn the page, but not without having put on the table very interesting topics to be discussed.

On our Facebook profile this week we have uploaded photos that, either by coincidence or by the usual tone, reflected the atmosphere that existed in the races more than a decade ago. The fans, resigned and nostalgic, blame the lack of popularity on the interests of a Federation that charges a golden price for licenses, limiting participation to the humblest fans, who would perfectly fit in other foreign countries where the cost of living is generally more expensive. We are talking about completely abysmal differences, such as that of a bouraga_slidesenior license, which can go from 22 euros in a foreign reference country to more than 300 euros in Spain. Not to mention the independent cost of each race, from which the Federations also receive a significant margin. Of course, in case there are suspensions or setbacks, we must all be supportive and understanding, despite the effort it entails.

In our opinion, it should be encourage support for Motorcycle Clubs so that they can organize races without having to suffer financial and time losses; To propose a classic regulation, the same one that has made our sport popular, without having to vary it in each season with absurd details that only lead us to confusion (drivers, judges and fans) and demotivation.

gasgas_showa 6other hand, this week we can experience another historic moment and, if everything goes as expected, Toni Bou will be proclaimed Indoor Trial World Champion with an unprecedented superiority. We say as expected because Toni counts his participations in 2011 as victories, in addition to having shown a maturity in all areas that leads him to get the crowd out of their seats at every race. If it weren’t for him, Indoor Trial would surely be an even duller sport that is difficult to claim.
Trialworld will be at the Trial Indoor in Madrid
to bring you the most relevant news and detailed information about the event. Don’t miss the website and social networks where we are (Facebook and Twitter), because from there we will tell you about the race in a dynamic way.

We say goodbye remembering that this week we have prepared an interesting and unprecedented Test on suspensions. Specifically, we have climbed on and installed a Showa shock absorber from Montesa Cota 4RT on a Gas Gas TXT Pro… In other words, we have done almost the same thing that the best riders in the world do on their bikes.

Greetings and Happy Week
