Electric Motion celebrates its best sporting year ever with Gael Chatagno

Electric Motion has met the objectives set for this 2020 competition season with flying colors. In a year of uncertainty, with highly demanding races due to their intensity and frequency, the French brand specialising in electric trial motorcycles has closed the best year of its decade of existence.

At the beginning of the year, Gael Chatagno joined the racing team, a young and talented rider, who has been able to adapt perfectly to the controls of the Electric Motion EPure Race, a bike that underwent a complete renovation in 2020 with the support and experience of Marc Colomer.

GAEL CHATAGNO FRENCH S1 Champion

Gael Chatagno is the new 2020 French Champion in the S1 category after winning all five scoring races with significant authority. Throughout this championship we have encountered very harsh and changeable weather circumstances, with wet races and even extreme cold conditions with the presence of snow.

Two races were held in Auron, two in Le Bresse and the last one in Le Revest. Their regularity and having competed against explosion bikes has given them a plus of learning that the brand considers key to continue with the technological evolution of the EPure range.

"THE GREAT TECHNOLOGICAL CHALLENGE POSED BY THE LAUNCH OF THE EPURE RANGE IS BEGINNING TO BEAR FRUIT, INSIDE AND OUTSIDE THE COMPETITION"

Runner-up in the Trial-e World Championship

The main goal of Gael Chatagno and Electric Motion was to achieve the world title of electric motorcycles, called TrialE. This championship, which was held in two Grands Prix with two scoring races in each (four in total), could not have started in a better way, as in France Gael achieved a solid double ahead of his main rival, Albert Cabestany.

Everything had to be decided at the Italian Grand Prix. Here Cabestany showed his experience and did not fail, beating Gael both days and forcing a technical tie at the end of the championship that would end up being resolved in favor of the GasGas rider.

In any case, for Electric Motion this runner-up position tastes like a victory based on the celebration reflected in these images of the team and the driver.
