Dani Oliveras has successfully operated on his foot

oliveras450_1The charismatic rider from Girona will undergo surgery on the scaphoid of his left foot in the coming days, in order to solve a fracture produced in the first race of the Outdoor World Championship, held in France.

Dani has carried this injury throughout the season, sacrificing this intervention in order not to miss any race of a world championship, whose schedule has been especially tight. As Ossa’s number one rider himself says:
“the injury does not prevent me from riding a motorcycle or cycling, but it does prevent me from doing other training such as running, as well as forcing me to step in the wrong way and limit myself sportively”.

This operation will keep Dani out for at least three or four weeks. In any case, the rider hopes to be without problems in the last round of the Spanish Championship, which will be held on November 18 in Cal Rosal.

Dani Oliveras has put in an excellent performance in the recently concluded edition of the Outdoor World Championship. With the added merit of not having participated in 2011 – he was working in Ossa as Jeroni Fajardo’s mechanic – the rider from Girona He has regularly led the large group of riders who are fighting to close the gap with the top 5 in the World Championship. Oliveras He has achieved two sixth places in the 2012 World Championship –Australia and Japan-, beating the likes of Dabill, Brown and Challoner.

The operation has been carried out successfully and Dani is now at home to begin recovery.
