Jorge Casales will race for the next five seasons with the official Gas Gas trial team. The 17-year-old rider from Vigo thus formalises his relationship with the Girona brand and becomes the cornerstone of the ” School of Champions” programme. Among the various proposals he had, Casales has chosen to be part of the Gas Gas structure, which will allow him to continue evolving as a pilot and thus achieve future professional successes.
The contract that unites both parties includes continuous training with Adam Raga and the experience of Gas Gas, as well as being able to have a direct relationship with the factory to compete in the junior world championship and the Spanish trial championship in the absolute category next year. Jorge Casales has always raced with a Gas Gas mount since he started in this sport at the age of 6.
He has been proclaimed national champion four times in the lower categories and this season he has become one of the revelation riders by being the fifth classified in the junior world championship despite missing four races on the calendar.
Jorge Casales: “For me it’s a dream come true, I still can’t believe it! I am very excited about the opportunity that Gas Gas has given me to be able to evolve as a rider. The fact that I can train with Adam, I think, will help me mature in competition, but I will also mature personally since I come to live in Catalonia to be able to be close to the factory. The Gas Gas is a bike that I have always liked and being an official rider I hope to be able to aspire to win the junior world championship next year.”
