Bou remains unbeaten at the nationals. Resounding victory in Siguenza

Bou NAC13 550in the 2013 Trial National Championships The best trial riders in the world were in Guadalajara this weekend for the fourth round of the 2013 season. The MC Alto Henares as well as the town council have been involved and the trial has been very good.

The 45 riders have enjoyed the prepared areas, 12 in total, and have left the fans who have come to see them juggling their motorcycles open-mouthed. The areas have been technically complicated, a circumstance that athletes like a lot because it makes them work harder.

Toni Bou was once again unstoppable and took the victory against Albert Cabestany and Adam Raga. The Repsol Montesa rider scored 18 points, while Albert scored 41 and Adam 46. A far cry from the great man to beat. Unlike the World Championship in which the non-stop regulations are the maximum circumstance, in Spain this is not the case, and the riders have had to adapt.

In TR2 Oriol Noguera, Jaime Bustó and Carles Traviesa have topped the classification of this category. Oriol and Jaime were very evenly matched in points, with only one difference at the end. Carles has been penalized with 26.

In TR3 Rafa Latorre, Adrián Artidiello and Faustino Bañón were the men who climbed the podium today in Sigüenza. Rafa and Adrian were tied at 26 points but Faustino was a little further behind with 55. In TR4 Jesús Fuentes has done an exceptional job. He has distanced himself greatly from his rivals. He has scored 8 points compared to Rubén García’s 17, second, and Jesús Martín’s 18, third.

The Junior class has been dominated, on this occasion, by Arnau Farré who maintains his fight for the Championship with Nacho Fernández-Sancho. MC Segre’s rider has beaten Nacho by 3 points. Marc Riba was third. In Cadet, Marc Miquel, Gabriel Giro and Oriol Pi have become the best in this category after the trial day in Sigüenza. The first has penalized with 24 feet, the second with 31 and the third with 32.

The next round of the Spanish Trial Championship will be on June 22 in Pobladura de las Regueras, León, with all classes in contention except TR1 and TR2. To see those registered in these higher categories we will have to wait until the end of September.

Toni Bou: “It has been one of those trials that I like, with difficulties, demand and a new change of mentality in terms of riding and tuning of the bike since, unlike the World Championship, in the Spanish World Championship the regulations that allow us to stop in the areas are still in force. I felt very comfortable, everything went well and, of course, I’m very happy with this result. Three wins in three rounds mean we are on track to defend the championship, which is our first goal. If we could do that by winning all five races it would be fantastic. And one thing is clear, we’re going to try.”

Arnau Farré: “After starting in the first section with a fiasco, the truth is that I had to work hard to recover these points, as I didn’t have much margin to do it.  On the first lap I rode I think very well with the exception of zone 1 and on the second lap, I rode very well.  I improved the first one by two points, which allowed me to have a margin, although not very comfortable but enough to get the victory”.

Adam Raga: “I started a bit badly and towards the end I was able to recover a bit. I’m happy with the latter, but not with the mistakes that have conditioned the final result. I had to take risks to make up for my mistakes at the start with such a disadvantage and it didn’t go very well either. Even so, today’s race was at a good level, although I wasn’t as successful as I would have liked; A correct score would have been half of the points scored.”
