Bou and Fujinami renew with Montesa

bou_renuevaBou and Takahisa Fujinami have agreed to extend their contract with the Montesa Honda Trial team for two and one more year, respectively, which was due to expire at the end of the current season.

TONI BOU

Toni Bou (Piera, Barcelona, 1986) He began his relationship with Montesa Honda in 2007 and during this period he has increased his trophy cabinet with 12 Trial World Championship titles (six outdoors and as many indoors) and seven Spanish Champion (five of which indoors), in addition to having been part of the winning team of the last five editions of the Trial of Nations, world team championship.

Toni Bou: “I am very pleased with the renewal of the contract with Montesa Honda. I know perfectly well that I won’t be anywhere else like here. From day one we have shared victories and joys. The day-to-day life is very comfortable for us and in addition to the peace of mind of knowing that I am in the best place, I am sure that nothing will change. The bike, the Cota 4RT, is incredible and the atmosphere in the team is extraordinary. To continue here is a logical decision, anything else would have been a mistake.”

Takahisa Fujinami (Mie, Japan, 1980) has competed as a Montesa Honda rider since 1996. Since 1999 he has finished all editions of the Outdoor Trial World Championship in the positions of honour. He won the world title in 2004 and has eight runners-up, one of them in the indoor specialty. He also won four Japanese Championship titles.

Takahisa Fujinami: “I am very happy to extend this relationship that we started in 1996 and continue one more year in the number one trial team and with the same teammate that I have had since the 2007 season. It’s been many years of joint relationship, I’ve grown up in Montesa Honda and I have no doubt that I can contribute more. I am convinced that next year I will have the energy to be able to fight for the world title.”

As riders for this company, Toni Bou and Takahisa Fujinami have helped Montesa to raise its record of victories in World Championship events to 159 and to conquer the last seven manufacturers’ world titles with the Cota 4RT 4-stroke.
